INTERATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY
“Volunteers make the world go round”
Krakow, 2-9 December 2006


Dear former and current EVS Volunteers!

Due to this year’s celebration of “International Volunteers Day” we would like to invite you to participate in Experimental Creative Arts workshops, which will take place between 2nd and 8th of December in Radwanowice, near Krakow.

The main aim for this year of the International Day of Volunteer is promotion of European Voluntary Service through cooperative and creative work between international group of previous and present EVS volunteers, people with special needs and artists.
In addition to European Union’s campaign “All different, All equal” we would like to encourage a group of vulnerable people, participants of Creative & Artistic Therapy Anna’s Dymna Foundation “Mimo wszystko” and service users of Brother Albert’s Foundation in Radwanowice.
These foundations provide a help and service for people with mental health problems by organising arts & crafts sessions.

From 4th to 8th of December group of ex-EVS volunteers will be participating in creative actions of ceramic, wood-craft, fabric, visual arts and animation sessions providing by talented artists.
Thereby we would like to promote integration and reach a bridge between people in need and all members of society. Based on our experience, energy and enthusiasm we are happy to share and exchange opinions, create and form a good constructive relationship between participants.

We will be working in partnership with many individuals, professional artists and volunteers to stimulate, inspire and support creative and artistic spirit within local communities, and encourage groups to participate in our creativity and experimental animation and theater workshops provide by Justyna Chwastek and Tomasz Lubotzki.
We would like to expose all creative arts work, which will be done during arts sessions at the Final Concert, which will be held on 9th of December 2006 with participation of the KROKE- group of musicians performing polish klezmer music.


Program of Experimental Creative Arts Workshops:
2th – 8th of December

- Arts & craft workshop (puppets and masks making)
- Ceramic workshop (pottery and ceramic workshop)
- Cookery workshop (ginger cookies workshop)
- Costume makers workshop (prepare costumes for final concert)
- Animation & creative arts workshops (making short animation)

Concert of KROKE, 9th of December
All of you are invited to take part in the final evening of  the International Volunteer Day in Krakow. The concert is free and open for all EVS volunteers and all those, who are interested in it.

We need volunteers who would like to help us with all the preparations for/during and after the concert. For those of you who decide to help us we have accomodation for the night 9/10th in the heart of the Old Town of Krakow. For more information contact: basia@trampolina.org.pl.
